Embarking on an electrifying journey towards a greener future, Mober, the Philippines' foremost electric vehicle (EV) logistics company, has inaugurated its flagship EV charging hub in Pasay City. Positioned just 1.5 kilometers from IKEA Pasay, this cutting-edge 800-square-meter facility cements Mober's commitment to an eco-friendly future, positioning them at the forefront of green logistics in Southeast Asia.

The charging station boasts the latest OCPP 7kw chargers compatible with both type 2 and GB/T standards, ensuring swift charging sessions and maintaining the unwavering efficiency of Mober's exclusive EV fleet designated for IKEA. The construction of this hub represents a P2 million investment by Mober.

"We strategically opted for this charging capacity as our EV fleet remains dormant during nighttime, allowing optimal charging without overwhelming the grid," CEO Dennis Ng clarified.

Ng further revealed plans to incorporate more potent 22kw chargers, along with a selection of DC chargers in the forthcoming charging points in Cavite/Laguna and Bulacan. This move underlines Mober's dedication to adaptability and versatility in their green infrastructure.

"This inauguration symbolizes not just a milestone but a beacon of our overarching blueprint for an environmentally-conscious logistic framework. And, we're just getting started," Ng emphasized.

Going beyond infrastructure, Mober's unique partnership model provides businesses with a distinctive advantage, allowing them to transition to green delivery operations without any upfront costs, making green logistics accessible to all. This seamless collaboration is instrumental in encouraging more companies to adopt sustainable logistics, solidifying Mober's pivotal role as a game-changer in the sector.

Aligned with the progressive mandates of the Electric Vehicles and Charging Systems (EVIDA) Act, Mober's initiatives underscore the Philippines' assertive stance on eco-driven policies. With Mober's pioneering approach, businesses now have a clear roadmap to swiftly decarbonize their last and mid-mile delivery systems, heralding a new era in business sustainability.

Starting in 2015 to assist small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in their on-demand logistical needs, Mober has evolved into a business-to-business (B2B) platform facilitating sustainable delivery for retail giants like IKEA Philippines, SM Appliance Center, Nestle Philippines, and Nespresso.

With ambitions to secure a mixed fleet of 100 electric vans and trucks by the end of 2023, and 300 units in 2024, Mober aims to lead the charge as the premier green logistics delivery provider in Southeast Asia.

Since its inception in July 2015, Mober has played a pivotal role in steering the transition towards eco-conscious deliveries in the Philippines. The company's primary objective is to assist businesses in decarbonizing their delivery processes, offering seamless solutions without imposing prohibitive upfront costs. Grounded in a culture of continuous innovation and unwavering dedication, Mober envisions a future where commerce seamlessly integrates with sustainability. Currently, the company has a keen focus on the Philippine market, aspiring to lead the charge in green logistics across Southeast Asia, with plans to become the largest operator of delivery EVs in the region.
