The Women's Tennis Association (WTA) rankings have moved Alex Eala one step closer to breaking into the Top 200 as she established a new career high, helped by excellent results in Europe.

Eala moved up 34 positions, from number 248 to number 214, after deciding to concentrate more on climbing the women's professional circuit.

Eala, who is just 17 years old, put in her best effort in Poitiers, where she made her first-ever semifinal appearance in a difficult $80,000 competition.

That was true even if he finished a stellar October with stays in Germany and the United States despite entering the tournament as an unseeded player out of the qualifying round.

The left-handed wonderkid created a name for herself in California's W60 Templeton, W80 Rancho Sante Fe, and W60 Hamburg (Round of 16). (Round of 16).

Over the weekend, she had a chance to climb higher on the WTA list, but she was unsuccessful in the qualifying draw finals of the W100 Shrewsbury tournament in Great Britain.

Eala, a student at the Rafael Nadal Academy, has won two professional titles in Thailand and Spain and aspires to win more as she advances in the WTA rankings.

She won two doubles titles in the 2020 Australian Open and 2021 French Open, and she recently won a historic victory at the 2022 US Open to become the first Filipina to win a singles Grand Slam.
