Ballet Manila is once again making waves in the Philippine arts scene with a groundbreaking production of *Florante at Laura*, adapted into a ballet for the very first time.
Directed by none other than the country’s prima ballerina, Lisa Macuja Elizalde, this two-hour ballet brings the timeless Filipino epic to life through stunning choreography and a rich musical score.
The music is composed by National Artist for Music, Ryan Cayabyab, whose powerful and romantic pieces breathe life into this retelling.
Performances are scheduled at Aliw Theater on October 12, 13, and 19, 2024, showcasing a stellar collaboration of artistic talents.
Following the success of *Ibong Adarna*, Lisa shares her vision of adapting more Filipino literary classics into ballet, saying, “Something magical happens when artists come together.” With this, Ballet Manila is opening doors to even more iconic stories told through the grace of dance.
Tickets are available now through TicketWorld’s official website, so be sure to grab yours to witness this historic ballet adaptation of Florante at Laura live at Aliw Theater.
