Viu has unveiled the first teaser for its upcoming suspense thriller kiDnap GAME, offering audiences an early glimpse of an ambitious pan-Asian production that brings together some of the region's biggest stars. Set to premiere in the fourth quarter of 2026, the series marks a rare collaboration featuring acclaimed actors from across Asia, including the Philippines' own Joel Torre alongside Korea's Lee Joon-gi and Japan's Kentaro Sakaguchi.
Three years in the making, kiDnap GAME was filmed across multiple locations in Asia, including Manila, and centers on a chilling premise that spans seven countries. The story follows seven strangers who become victims of simultaneous kidnappings, thrust into a ruthless survival game where only one person can ultimately make it out alive. As the mystery unfolds across seven Asian cities, the lives of the captives become intertwined in a high-stakes battle for survival.
The series features a diverse ensemble cast representing different parts of the region. Joining Lee Joon-gi, Kentaro Sakaguchi, and Joel Torre are Taiwan's Alice Ko, Hong Kong's Stanley Yau, Singapore's Carrie Wong, and Thailand's Praew Narupornkamol Chaisang. The multinational lineup reflects the series' cross-border narrative while highlighting the growing trend of Asian productions that bring together talents from different markets.
Representing the Philippines is veteran and award-winning actor Joel Torre, who takes on the role of Miguel, a taxi driver whose ordinary life is suddenly pulled into the deadly game. As events unfold across seven cities, Miguel finds himself caught in a dangerous situation that tests the limits of survival alongside the other captives.
Torre's participation also marks another significant milestone for Philippine representation in a major international co-production. Long regarded as one of the country's most respected actors, his inclusion adds a familiar Filipino presence to a project that aims to connect audiences across Asia through a shared suspense-filled story.
While the newly released teaser offers only a brief look at what's to come, it hints at an intense, fast-paced thriller driven by mystery, psychological tension, and life-or-death choices. With filming completed across several Asian locations and a cast featuring established names from different entertainment industries, kiDnap GAME is shaping up to be one of Viu's biggest regional releases.
The suspense thriller is scheduled to premiere exclusively on Viu in Q4 2026.
