Boracay Island is stepping up its inclusivity game with the launch of its first-ever Muslim-friendly cove, **Marhaba Boracay**.
Located at the private beach of Boracay Newcoast, this serene 850-sqm space is designed for Muslim families and travelers to enjoy Boracay’s beauty in line with Islamic principles.
This initiative, led by the Department of Tourism (DOT) in collaboration with local stakeholders, marks a significant step in making the island a more accessible destination for all.
This inclusive space is a response to feedback from Muslim travelers, including diplomats from nearby Islamic nations, who called for more Muslim-friendly facilities.
Along with the cove, travelers can indulge in **Halal-certified** culinary delights, courtesy of Savoy Hotel's kitchen.
DOT Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco emphasized that this project reflects the Philippines’ commitment to becoming a preferred destination for Muslim travelers.
Boracay’s already world-famous shores now cater even more to diverse cultural and religious needs, offering not just luxury but also a thoughtful, welcoming experience for all.
