It is high time that we enlighten everyone with the countless benefits having a business can offer — and when it comes to getting into that venture, there are numerous ways to get started, one of which is through franchising.

GMA Actors Paolo Contis, Ken Chan, and Boy2 Quizon can attest to this as just recently, and they have received the first of the many fruits of their new source of income. They announced that they had just previously joined the House of Franchise and JC to further their path in attaining their financial goals.

When asked how he was able to discover the franchise business, Contis shared: “Actually matagal ko nang kakilala si Sir Jonathan but naging busy lang [ako nang] onte. And then, finally, nagkaroon kami ng opportunity na makapag-usap na naiupo nya ako kasama si VP. The rest is history — isang kwentuhan lang, ako’y na-engganyo agad na kumuha ng – maging franchisee. So far, it’s doing so well and I’m very happy with my decision na maging bahagi ng House of Franchise.”

When it comes to the challenges that he faced when acquiring the franchise, Chan explained that there were rather none.

“Walang challenge akong nakita kasi napaka-smooth ng business and lahat nagtutulungan. Especially nalaman ko tong business na to from the consumers, from the people, from my friends. Wala akong idea noon kung ano ba ‘yung JC, basta ang alam ko lang yung mga produkto nila dahil nakikita ko, naririnig ko sa mga tao. At yun yung pinaka-importante pala, yun ang pinakabasehan ko, kung ano ba yung sasamahan mo na produkto, ano yung paniniwalaan mo. Kung pinagkakatiwalaan to ng mga tao, so dun ka. So walang mga naging challenges sakin. And I’m looking forward talaga na magkaroon — sabi ko kay Sir Jonathan at Sir Carl na sana magkaroon ako ng isang franchise — at ito na nga, nagkatotoo na.”

Chan franchised the Filipino-favorite Siomai King cart, which he plans on placing at his former school, De La Salle - College of St. Benilde, which also happens to be business magnates Jonathan So and Carl Macadangdang's alma mater.

On the other hand, Quizon disclosed the quality of HoF, and JC finally pushed him to make the step.

The actor highlighted, “With this one kasi, it’s all about the lifestyle also lalo. Laking factor din nung nagpandemic, nagbukas lahat ng bagay, you can’t just stick to your lane. Right now, kailangan natin mamotivate bawat isang tao. So dito, nakita namin yon. So far, one week palang, and nakakuha na kami ng cheke so tingin ko naman tama ang aming desisyon.”

In just one week, Quizon earned over PHP 36,000, Chan earned PHP 40,000, and Contis made over PHP 39,000.

Contis noted, “Lingguhan to ha. Again, kung gusto mo, may paraan lagi. Kami, busy kami sa trabaho namin, may showbiz work kami pero alam din namin na hindi panghabang buhay ang pag-aartista diba. This is the best opportunity.”

Quizon calls on to fellow Filipinos: “Punta kayo dito. Kasi yung culture dito, masaya, good vibes lang. Tsaka ‘yung mga tao dito, nagtutulungan. Basta pumunta kayo dito, mage-enjoy kayo.”
