Letran coach Bonnie Tan has been promoted in the professional ranks.

The decorated collegiate mentor will take over as NorthPort's main tactician as soon as the 2023 PBA Governor's Cup kicks off.

Tan basically swapped roles with Pido Jarencio, as the latter will now serve as Batang Pier's team manager.

Jarencio has been NorthPort's head coach since 2013, compiling a 47-78 elimination round record and 4-11 in the playoffs.

Expectations are high for Tan after leading the Knights to three straight championship.

The mild-mannered coach previously served as interim head coach for NorthPort, going undefeated in three games in the 2021 Philippine Cup.

Meanwhile, he has recommended lead assistant Rensy Bajar to take over his spot in Letran if in case.
