NCAA stands with Fran Yu suspension despite Letran's appeal

Fran Yu may have played his last game in his collegiate career.

This was after NCAA denied Letran's appeal to rescind Yu’s suspension on Tuesday following his ejection in Game 2.

The NCAA Season 95 Finals MVP will not suit up in the winner-take-all Game 3 Finals.

"After careful and thorough deliberation on CSJL appeal to lift Fran Yu’s suspension, the NCAA Management Committee ruled to deny the appeal of CSJL,” the league said in a statement.

Yu was called for a disqualifying foul during the second quarter of Game 2 on Sunday for elbowing College of St. Benilde’s Mark Sangco.

Because of this, Yu was thrown out of the game.

The Blazers eventually forced a decider after a 76-71 victory over the Knights.

Ejection automatically means a player gets a one-game suspension.
