On Sunday afternoon at the Paco Arena, Faith Nisperos carried Ateneo de Manila University to a 20-25, 25-21, 25-22, 24-26, and 18-16 victory over Adamson University, moving them one win away from the 2022 V-League Women's Collegiate Challenge title.

The 22-year-old captain of the Blue Eagles scored 35 points on 33 attacks, including eight in the decisive set, which set the tone for them and brought them to match point with a significant margin of victory of 14-9.

Nisperos' scoring total against Adamson is a career-high.

With a 24-22 advantage following a Vanie Gandler cross-court assault, the Blue Eagles also scored a match point in the fourth quarter.

However, Kate Santiago scored three points in a row to help the Lady Falcons catch up.

Lorene Toring's ace then extended the game to finish it.

With 20 points on 14 sprained spikes, four aces, two blocks, and 11 great digs, Gandler generously supported Nisperos. Miner added eighteen more points.

Adamson, which benefited from Ateneo's 40 turnovers, was led in scoring by Tubu (17 points), while Cruz added 16 points and five blocks.

On Wednesday at 5:00 PM, the Lady Falcons will attempt to equalize as the Blue Eagles go for the victory and championship crown.
