Tough break for Gilas Pilipinas, especially for Meralco Bolts.

Homer Sayson of Spin.ph first reported that Chris Newsome got injured during Gilas Pilipinas practice.

It was also confirmed that the former Ateneo standout injured his left calf.

Newsome was already sidelined for two weeks after suffering a right calf strain in Bolts' first game in the 2022 Commissioner's Cup.

He is set to undergo a medical examination on Wednesday.

Meralco couldn't catch a break this conference, as multiple injuries left the team in 11th place with a 1-5 record.
