As summer approaches, UNIQLO sets the tone for the season by going back to what it does best: refining everyday essentials. For its 2026 Spring/Summer collection, the brand places the spotlight on the idea of the “Ultimate Basic,” a concept rooted in intelligent simplicity, comfort, and the small joys that come from clothes you actually want to wear every day.
Presented during an exclusive media preview in Intramuros, the collection reflects UNIQLO’s LifeWear philosophy of designing clothing around real-life needs. Rather than chasing trends, the line builds on familiar staples such as T-shirts, jeans, linen, shorts, and Sport Utility Wear, reimagined through lighter fabrics, relaxed silhouettes, and a refreshed palette suited for warmer days.
“Our goal is to create clothes designed for life’s needs,” said UNIQLO Philippines Chief Operating Officer Geraldine Sia.
Marketing Director Jan Ang echoed this sentiment, explaining that the collection elevates classic spring and summer essentials through new styles, colors, patterns, and functional innovations. During the presentation, Ang also introduced UNIQLO Philippines’ latest roster of local celebrity partners, each highlighting a key category from the collection. Sarah Geronimo represents the Core T-shirts, while Matteo Guidicelli and Solenn Heussaff showcase the versatility of linen. Model Anthony Constantino fronts the jeans line, athlete Kianna Dy highlights UV Protection pieces, and actress Alexa Ilacad brings focus to the Bra Top.
Design inspiration for the season draws from two distinct European moods. Urban Rome influences appear through clean lines, crisp whites, and relaxed city-ready outfits such as oversized shirts paired with shorts. Linen plays a central role here, with Geronimo demonstrating how easily it pairs with a Core T-shirt for endless everyday combinations.
For denim, UNIQLO proves that jeans still have a place in summer wardrobes. Anchored on style, comfort, and timelessness, pieces like Baggy Jeans and EZY Jeans are designed around the three Fs: Fit, Fabric, and Finish. Constantino described them as a dependable basic upgraded through better craftsmanship and comfort.
On the other hand, the Amalfi Coast inspires lighter fabrics and brighter hues. AIRism inners, bra tops, and linen separates offer breathable options for seaside weather and city heat alike. Ilacad shared her renewed appreciation for the Bra Top, praising its low-maintenance design and fresh colors, while Guidicelli and Heussaff emphasized linen’s relaxed yet elegant appeal.
Beyond style, functionality remains a key focus. UV Protection pieces, including the Ultra Stretch AIRism UV Protection Full-zip Hoodie, provide sun protection with cool-to-touch comfort. Kianna Dy noted how these items fit seamlessly into an active, outdoor lifestyle.
The collection also introduces a new eyewear line, alongside featured collaborations such as UNIQLO U, UNIQLO : C, UNIQLO × Comptoir des Cotonniers, and a summer-ready UT lineup featuring MoMA, Disney, Powerpuff Girls, and more.
Rounding out the season, UNIQLO continues its sustainability efforts through initiatives like the PEACE FOR ALL Charity T-shirt project and the RE.UNIQLO Studio, which promotes clothing repair and personalization.
The UNIQLO 2026 Spring/Summer collection is now available in stores nationwide and online.
