Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo wrote a letter of apology to her parents for her life decisions that caused a rift between them two years and eight months after her controversial wedding.
 
Sarah took to Instagram on Saturday, October 29, to pen a lengthy apology letter to her parents, Delfin and Divine Geronimo.
 
Sarah began the letter by saying she wanted to thank everyone for continuing to support her no matter what.
 
She added she doesn't do this thing often because she likes to keep her personal life private, but she chose to take the opportunity to apologize to her family, who was hurt by her life decisions.
 
The singer went on to say how she is eternally grateful to her parents for the life they gave her and her siblings.
 
"Lahat ng suporta at pag aaruga..ang inyong walang katumbas na pagmamahal, walang sino man ang pwedeng makapagpunan po nito. Mahal na mahal ko kayo.. daddy at mama ko. araw-araw ko po kayong nami-miss at naiisip," Sarah wrote.
 
(All the support and care, your unrequited love—no one can fill it. I love you so much.. my daddy and my mom. I miss and think of you every day).
 
Sarah revealed that through what their family went through, she learned about "understanding and accepting that there is no perfect life or love only from our people."
 
She also learned the importance of "humility" and "working together" for the good of loved ones such as family.
 
She also shared how God helped her during her darkest hours.
 
"In my darkest hour, I was also reminded to look to God and feel his unfailing love and faithfulness through His word and grace. I have learned to find joy and peace again in God alone. The author of love and the perfect of our faith."
 
Sarah reminded, that despite what is happening now do not forget to show love to our loved ones.
 
"Wag po natin kakalimutang pahalagahan ang bawat oras at pagkakataon na binibigay sa atin ni Lord para maiparamdam sa ating mga mahal sa buhay kung gaano sila kahalaga, kung gaano natin sila kamahal."
 
(Let's not forget to appreciate every moment and opportunity this gives us. (Lord, make our loved ones feel how important they are, how much we love them).
 
Sarah also thanked her fans, who "continued to support her as an artist and understand her as a normal person."
 
It can be recalled that Sarah Geronimo and husband Matteo Guidicelli tied the knot in February 2020, unbeknownst to Sarah’s family, which fueled the wrath of Sarah’s mom, Mommy Divine, who reportedly did not approve of her 31-year-old daughter's relationship with Guidicelli.
