NCRPO all set to secure 27th ALMM & Related Meetings 2022

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) assured that its force,  resources, and inter-agency collaborative support are all set and ready to ensure the security of top labor officials of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) for the upcoming 27th ASEAN Labour Ministers' Meeting (ALMM) and Related Meetings as they gather here in t at the Shangri La Hotel, The Fort, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City this October 25 to 29.

The discussion at the meeting above will focus on ways to protect migrant workers through collaboration, getting past the pandemic, and other advancements for promoting digitalized, inclusive, and sustainable recovery and growth for workers.

Labor ministers and senior labor officials from the 10 member states of ASEAN are expected to attend this year's 27th ASEAN Labor Ministers' Meeting (ALMM) and Related Meetings. The participants include Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines.

Likewise, labor officials from China, Japan, and South Korea are also expected to attend.

NCRPO chief Brig. Gen. Jonnel C Estomo said 800 personnel, including other agencies and force multipliers, will be deployed to secure peace and order to ensure there will be no untoward incident or attempt to disrupt the peaceful and orderly conduct of the said occasion.

As moderate to heavy traffic will be expected, the public is advised to monitor and check the MMDA Social Media platforms for information dissemination of ongoing events and possible road re-routing.
 
"We have already laid out our emergency plans and assessed all possible threats, risks and unexpected eventualities that may crop up. Through teamwork and unity of all law enforcement and allied agencies, we can envision the success of the 27th ASEAN Labour Ministers Meeting," Estomo said.

 "Our unified goal is to provide the ASEAN Labor Ministers and participants with a safest and convenient venue, billet, area, tours and route during their stay in Metro Manila. Guaranteed that our police officers are seen, felt, and performing tasks extraordinarily in order for us to gain the trust and appreciation of the delegates while they are in our country," he added.
