League of Legends: Wild Rift is celebrating its sixth anniversary with one of its biggest update cycles yet, bringing a mix of gameplay improvements, nostalgic content, and community-focused events that aim to welcome both longtime fans and new players back to the Rift.

Since the release of Patch 7.2 on July 6, Riot Games has rolled out several updates designed to improve the game's overall experience. One of the most significant changes is the redesigned Enchantments System, which turns Enchantments into standalone active items, giving players more flexibility when building their loadouts. The patch also introduces refinements to ranked progression, the Trial/Revival System, bounty mechanics, and other core features—updates that respond to long-standing community feedback while making matches feel more balanced across different skill levels.

The anniversary celebration also expands the game's roster and customization options. Following the arrival of Wild Rift original champion Norra, players can now experience Ahri's full Art and Sustainability Update (ASU), giving one of League's most recognizable champions a refreshed look. More than a dozen new skins have also been added, including the Weather Deity and Summer Party collections. The content rollout continues with Yunara already joining the game, Cho'Gath set to debut on August 7, and the fan-favorite Crystal Rose collection arriving on August 14.

For veteran League players, August brings a heavy dose of nostalgia. The upcoming Classic Moment event lets players revisit iconic abilities, items, runes, and mechanics through League-themed AAA ARAM augments, while AAA ARAM Classic makes its return on August 7. Meanwhile, the Echoes on the Rift event allows players to connect their League of Legends and Wild Rift accounts to unlock exclusive rewards and personalized memories. Riot is also introducing Annie-versary, a tribute to the original stream that first unveiled Wild Rift, alongside additional anniversary rewards and limited-time activities.

Players can also catch the latest updates in action through the upcoming Classic Wild Stream, where veteran personalities and creators—including the V33Wise duo of Oh my Veenus and Wise Gaming, Leomiho, Vanny Bear, Kapitan Pugo, and more—will showcase the new gameplay changes in an exhibition match. Additional details will be announced through Wild Rift Philippines' social media channels.

Competitive fans can see how these updates influence high-level play during Wild Rounds: Pilipinas Split 2 on the Road to SMASH this August. The tournament will feature the latest champions, gameplay refinements, and evolving strategies, offering viewers a closer look at the game's changing meta as the country's top teams compete live on Wild Rift Philippines' official Facebook and TikTok pages.
