On Monday in Maco, Davao de Oro, three communist New People's Army (NPA) militants who had numerous arrest warrants turned themselves in.

TV Nash, Ian, and Jumong were the identities used by the regional office of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) to identify the surrendered individuals.

The accused were former Southern Mindanao Regional Committee members and Weakened Guerilla Front (WGF) 33 and WGF 55. (SMRC).

The military has already disbanded the two WGFs operating in Davao del Norte, Davao de Oro, and Davao City at some point this year.

On September 14, 2022, their brother George Adolfo and sister-in-law Maricel Amparo, both members of the defunct WGF 55, were arrested in Iloilo, according to acting Regional Chief of CIDG 11 Police Lieutenant Colonel Jovit Culaway.

Culaway worked with other PNP groups and the military following a series of negotiations to facilitate the rebel returnees' surrender.

Culaway urged other NPA members to give in and take advantage of the government's increased, comprehensive local integration program (E-CLIP).

The National Task Force-Ending Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) and its efforts to bolster the legal offensive against the prominent members of the CPP-NPA-NDF have Culaway's full backing.

Before their enrollment in E-CLIP, the surrendered individuals are now held in the custody of CIDG Davao de Oro for documentation and custodial debriefing.
