toktok, like many game-changing innovations, started from necessity. Due to the increased need for delivery services, founders, young and innovative business magnates Jonathan So and Carlito Macadangdang established and developed toktok.
 
During the pandemic, Cloud Panda Ph, an IT company solution composed of Filipino developers, created the Toktok super app. Both computer programmers, So and Macadangdang, oversaw and shared their expertise in application development.

toktok was first created to assist So and Macadangdang's other businesses (Siomai King, Coppermask, Boy Bondat, and JC) with logistical issues. Gradually, it expanded to serve a bigger market, eventually becoming national.

On Dec. 8, 2020, toktok was officially launched in Metro Manila.
