After the much-publicized courtroom drama of Amber Heard, who plays Mera in Aquaman, the quest for who is the most appropriate lady to replace her in the movie has been burning the internet.
During the months of Amber Heard's trial with Johnny Depp, it has not been cleared by Aquaman's studio if she will reprise the role. Although rumors surfaced, hinting Warner Bros. is going to remove Heard's role or looking to bring in a new actress to play the role of Mera.
Earlier this year, DC Films Walter Hamada admitted to having an "issue of chemistry" between Heard and the film's lead actor, Jason Momoa.
But ultimately, the decision was made not to recast Heard for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Discovery has not announced plans to recast the role up to today. However, execs did confess to considering the move.
Among the actresses who emerged in the rumors was Jason Mamoa's former Game of Thrones co-star, Emilia Clarke. The GOT actress' fans were quite aggressive in expressing support for Clarke to have her take over the role of Mera.
The anticipation is going strong in the Aquaman fandom as more campaign to consider Clarke for the role of Mera has surfaced.

The image of Clarke as Mera was created by digital artist Diego de Sousa. In the masterpiece, she debuted a jaw-dropping concept that sees Clarke as Amber Heard's role Mera.
In the image, Clarke stuns as Mera in the iconic costume first introduced via Heard in Aquaman. In addition, Clarke donned auburn hair.
Some fans were quick to comment that Clarke is a better fit for the role. While some tag the actress to see if she will react to the fan art.
Warner Bros. Discovery has not commented on the new buzz about Emilia Clarke and the role of Mera.
