Jane De Leon’s take on Mars Ravelo’s iconic character, Darna, has already seen the light of day in the show’s August 19 episode.

Now, without anything to hide, the new Darna posed on the cover of Metro Magazine, showing off her costume, clad in the iconic ensemble of red and gold, with an iconic winged cap. 

“[Jane De Leon] as the modern-day #Darna has finally made her appearance in the much-awaited and trending take of #ABSCBN on a #MarsRavelo classic,” the Metro Magazine Instagram caption read, adding that the actress goes back to her journey until she got one of the iconic roles. 

The modern-day Darna first premiered on August 15, and the actress finally transformed into the iconic character, where Narda decided to swallow the stone to rescue the people amid a catastrophic earthquake. 

Joining De Leon is Iza Calzado, serving as the first Darna and Narda’s mother. Other cast includes Zaijian Jaranilla as Ding, Janella Salvador as Valentina, and Joshua Garcia as Brian Robles.
