Seven-year-old Kapamilya primetime series "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano" counts down to its last three weeks on air, lead star and director Coco Martin said.

The actor shared the news in an Instagram video posted by ABS-CBN Executive Deo Endrinal.

“Mga ka-Probinsyano dumating na po ang oras (time has come). Ang programang minahal ninyo ng pitong taon ay nalalapit na po ang pagtatapos (The program you have loved for seven years is coming to an end),” he said.

“Malungkot man na tayo’y maghihiwalay, pero walang hanggang pagpapasalamat ang aming nararamdaman. Nagbago man ang mundo, nandyan pa rin kayo. Kahit man po matapos ang teleseryeng ito, hinding hindi po matatapos ang pagmamahal namin sa inyo (Although we are sad to be parting ways, we feel eternal gratitude. Even though the world has changed, you are still there. Although this series is about to end, our love for you will never end),” Coco added.

“FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” series started in the year 2015. It is a remake of late National Artist and action star Fernando Poe Jr.'s 1997 film.

Because of its outstanding ratings, the program was repeatedly extended, and it continued to air on digital platforms even after ABS-CBN's forced broadcast shut down in mid-2020.

The show will be replaced on Aug. 15, 2022, by "Mars Ravelo's Darna," which will star Jane De Leon, Joshua Garcia, and Janella Salvador.
