Caloocan deploys mobile city hall

6:18 pm on 21 July 2022, Thursday

The Caloocan city government will deploy its mobile city hall in North Caloocan on Saturday.

In a statement on Thursday, Mayor Along Malapitan said the mobile city hall aims to bring transactions nearer to residents of North Caloocan. The main city hall is located in South Caloocan.

Services provided include airing concerns and grievances, medical consultation, anti-rabies vaccination, local tax assessment, job application, and registration for senior citizens and solo parents.

The mobile city hall will also benefit employees who may be too busy at work to attend to their transactions at the city hall.

The mayor said the mobile city hall also aims to bring city hall closer to the public, especially in Caloocan, geographically subdivided into north and south.

Malapitan also vowed to improve the services offered at the North Caloocan city hall.

“Ang sinasabi natin noong kampanya, gusto natin ilapit ang gobyerno sa tao. Sisikapin natin na maglunsad ng ganitong mga proyekto para mas maraming taga-Caloocan ang makinabang at hindi na nila kakailanganing pumunta pa sa ating main City Hall, kabilang na rito ang pagpapa-unlad din sa serbisyong hatid ng North Caloocan City Hall,” Malapitan said.

(“Like what I said during the campaign, I want to bring the government to the people. Let us strive to launch these kinds of projects to benefit more Caloocan residents and so that they need not go to the main city hall. This also includes improving the services offered at the North Caloocan City Hall,” Malapitan said).

The mobile city hall will be open in Barangay 176 covered court, Phase 2, Pkg. 2 on Saturday, July 23 from 8 am to 12 noon.

The said project will be launched at least once a month in several barangays in Caloocan. It will be composed of more than 20 departments and divisions of the local government.
