Vice President Leni Robredo as an attorney has “never really disappeared” despite her busy schedule discharging the role of the second highest official of the land and even during her days as 3rd district Representative of Camarines Sur.
 
Atty. Barry Gutierrez, spokesperson of the outgoing VP, made this remark just 11 days before the pink champion ends her six-year term.
 
“Hindi naman nawala si Atty Leni Robredo maski naman noon sa kanyang panunungkulan bilang VP, bilang kongresista,” said Gutierrez during a radio interview on Sunday morning.
 
“Nandyan naman syempre ang kanyang kaalaman na laging ina-apply sa kanyang trabaho,” he added.
 
“Pero ang pagkakaiba ngayon, babalik siya sa practice. Makikita natin ulit siya sa korte at makikita natin siya uling naglilingkod sa mga kliyente bilang isang abogado.”
 
Robredo has said in her weekly program that she plans to go back to being a lawyer once she steps down and is succeeded by Vice President-elect Sara Duterte by noon of June 30.
 
“Nine years lang naman ako nag-serve sa gobyerno pero all the years wala ako sa gobyerno talagang nasa pag-a-abogado naman ako at saka nasa advocacy. Ganun pa din ang gagawin ko, babalik ako sa pagiging abogado,” she bared on June 12,
 
“Sa trabaho ganun pa rin siguro ako ka-busy,” she said.
 
She will also launch her Angat Buhay NGO (non government organization) on July 1 with the aim to continue helping fellow Filpinos in need.
 
And the best part she said is “ako mismo makakabalik na ako sa pag-drive sa sarili ko.”
