Ex-PBB housemate and actor Patrick Sugui has addressed speculations about the absence of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla from his wedding to Aeriel Garcia.
Patrick explained himself in an Instagram comment on actress Gabbi Garcia's post on April 21, in which she congratulated Patrick Sugui and his social media influencer wife, Aeriel Garcia. Gabbi posted a series of behind-the-scenes photos with the caption, "Pat & Ae's wedding. Nothing but overflowing love and joy for these two!@patsugui @aeriel ily both so much."
Patrick's comment comes after netizens began looking for Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo in wedding photos, saying that the friends are not on good terms. The netizen with the username @theironladyy said, "Pwede ba yon, best friend mo wala sa pinakamahalagang araw ng buhay mo? Cmon wag kami, don’t fool us! "
Then the actor clarified the situation, pointing out that KathNiel are in a lock-in taping. He commented, "Pinagsasabi mo? Nasa lock-in taping sila kaya wala sila. Nagmamarunong ka diyan? Close ka? Hanap ka ibang trip. Wag asawa ko."
Another netizen stated that it is impossible for KathNiel to miss their best friend's wedding. The netizen commented, "Napakababaw na rason ang lock-in taping nila. Kung gusto may paraan, kung ayaw may dahilan. KathNiel sila, they can find a way to make it to your wedding. "
Patrick answered the comments and lambasted netizens for spreading false information. The actor stated that he was at Daniel's house a week before his wedding and asked the show's director for consent to allow the love team to attend the wedding. He said, "Really? Kasi po nasa bahay lang ako ni Dj a week before the wedding. Ako pa nagpaalam sa director nila if pwede sila payagan kahit for 1 day lang. Pero hindi talaga. And we understand. Bida sila sa show nila, sila ang pinakabusy."
