Television host Kris Aquino revealed on her Instagram account on Sunday, March 13, that she’s diagnosed with erosive gastritis and gastric ulcer while thanking Angel Locsin for being a ‘stage mother’ to her during her medications. 

Kris shared a documentation of photos and videos of her while taking tests in a hospital, together with her sons Josh and Bimby. 

After undergoing Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scan, Computerized Tomography (CT) scan and upper endoscopy, Kris shared that fortunately, no tumors were detected. Instead, she was diagnosed with erosive gastritis and gastric ulcer. 

Besides all these, Kris had bone marrow aspiration which was executed to cure a blood-related illness. She also had Electrocardiogram (ECG) and 2D echo tests which reveals that her heart is in good shape and healthy working order, according to her doctor. 

Kris then talked about the discomfort she feels on her lower spine after losing a lot of weight which weighs 38.5 kilograms (85 pounds), as of her recent update.

“I won’t lie to you, there’s this parang nabugbog ng bongga feeling in my lower spine BUT apart from my medicinal limitations, halos wala na kasi akong fat to help ‘CUSHION’ my bones… kaya [exaggerated] ang sakit, skin then diretso sa buto. Process [and] hit or miss para makahanap ng okay na pwesto ‘pag hihiga at kung uupo,” Kris stated.

On the other hand, the Queen of All Media stressed how she’s still thankful to God despite her situation, positively saying that her “current pain is temporary.”

“Malalagpasan rin kaya bawal umangal,  marami ang mas malala ang pinagdadaanan, at may hinihintay pang mga resulta kaya manahimik, magpasalamat, at patuloy na magdasal,” she stated.

Kris deeply expressed her gratitude to her fans and friends for being with her all throughout her medical journey. She also specially thanked Angel Locsin and Anne Binay Alcantara who were with her and her sons in the hospital.

“Thank you to my friends, the lovable feeling both ‘stage mother’ and main character in Grey’s Anatomy to both kuya Josh [and] me, Angel (Locsin) Arce, and the feeling doktora (doctor) even though mommy niya (her mom) is the real MD, who was scolding me for not pressing the pain reliever auto release button kasi ayokong maging (because I don’t want to be) dependent, ‘hindi ito test ng tapang (It’s not a test of courage),’ Anne Binay Alcantara,” Kris said.

On Monday, March 14, Kris posted a photo on her Instagram saying that she’s already been released from the hospital and just waiting for her bone marrow results.

“Nakauwi na kami... this was our last pic before heading to our temporary, leased home... maghihintay na lang for my bone marrow results,” Kris said.
