The Philippine National Police (PNP) has effected a minor re-organization that affected four senior officers of the organization.

The revamp led to the appointment of Police Brig. Gen. Gregory Bogñalbal as the new director of the Highway Patrol Group, replacing Police Brig. Gen. Alexander Tagum who is now the Regional Director of Police Regional Office-12 in the SOCCSKSARGEN region.

Bogñalbal was the Senior Executive Assistant at the Office of the Chief PNP before he was assigned to take over the leadership of HPG. HIs post will be assumed by Police Colonel Neri Vincent Ignacio.

The reorganization was triggered by the retirement of Police Maj. Gen. Dennis Agustin whose post as head of the Directorate for Intelligence was taken over by Police Brig. Gen. Michael John Dubria, the former regional director of PRO12.

The new reassignments take effect today, November 5, 2021.

An earlier reorganization in key positions was implemented on November 1, 2021 upon the retirement of Police Major General Ferdinand Daway, who was replaced by Police Brigadier General Valeriano De Leon as Director of the Civil Security Group.

De Leon relinquished his post as Regional Director of Police Regional Office 3 in Central Luzon to former Eastern Police District Director, Police Brigadier General Atty. Matthew Baccay.
