Keeping a straight face may sound simple, but it becomes a different challenge when surrounded by some of the Philippines’ most recognizable comedians. That was the premise behind Prime Video’s launch event for LOL: Last One Laughing Philippines Season 2, which turned Space at One Ayala in Manila into a comedy-themed terminal ahead of the series’ October 30 premiere.
Held on October 28, the event welcomed members of the media, content creators, and special guests for an evening featuring interactive activities, Filipino street food, cast interviews, and an exclusive screening of the first episode. The terminal-inspired setup gave attendees a preview of the new season, where contestants must make one another laugh while avoiding elimination themselves.
Returning as host is Vice Ganda, who once again oversees the competition and its central rule: laugh, and you're out.
The host was joined by the season’s 10 contestants: Long Mejia, Epy Quizon, Candy Pangilinan, Ethel Booba, Pooh, Donna Cariaga, Chariz Solomon, Esnyr, James Caraan, and Charuth. The cast walked the blue carpet before taking part in a media conference, where they discussed their experiences on the show and the difficulty of maintaining a straight face amid jokes, unexpected antics, and the presence of fellow comedians.
An exclusive screening of the opening episode followed, giving guests an early look at the challenges and comedic situations awaiting audiences in the new season.
Beyond the interviews and screening, the event featured photo opportunities and local food favorites, tying the airport-terminal concept to familiar Filipino experiences. The activities set the stage for a series built around improvisation, comic timing, and the unpredictable interactions among its participants.
LOL: Last One Laughing Philippines is an adaptation of the Japanese Prime Original series Documental, created by and starring Hitoshi Matsumoto and owned by Yoshimoto Kogyo.
Season 2 premieres exclusively on Prime Video on October 30, 2026, in the Philippines and more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
