In the Philippine iGaming scene, influence has always traveled fast, but responsibility, not always as quickly. That balance is now being tested as top creators align themselves with licensed platforms in an industry long challenged by unregulated players and shaky consumer trust.
At the center of this shift is Buenas PH, a licensed e-casino operator under HHR Philippines Inc., which has entered a high-profile partnership with some of the country’s most followed gaming personalities. Names such as ChooxTv, Beatmaster, ForeignGerms, Hypebits, and actor-gamer Mark Herras collectively command a social media reach exceeding 150 million. Rather than simply amplifying entertainment, the group is lending its voice to a campaign centered on regulated, ethical iGaming.
For Julius “Banoobs” Mariano, founder of YGS Live, the partnership reflects a recalibration of creator influence. He points out that regulated gaming still represents only a fraction of the total market. By choosing to work exclusively with licensed operators, creators can actively steer audiences away from scam-prone, unregulated platforms that often exploit viewers unfamiliar with the risks.
That same emphasis on structure and safeguards was echoed by Atty. Anthony “Tony” Manguiat, president of HHR Philippines Inc., who framed regulation not as restriction, but protection. He stressed that oversight, particularly from bodies like PAGCOR, ensures age checks, KYC protocols, and consumer safeguards remain in place, preserving gaming as entertainment rather than exploitation.
The partnership was unveiled alongside the grand finals of the first-ever Battle of the Streamers, staged at City of Dreams Manila. As presenting partner, Buenas PH backed a seven-week competition that ran from November 22 to January 10, 2026, featuring a P 11-million prize pool. Powered by Pragmatic Play and streamed via Loco Live, the tournament blended high-energy streaming with structured competition, ranking creators across Diamond, Platinum, and Gold tiers based on reach and performance.
Beatmaster, Hypebits, and Bulldog emerged as the top Diamond-tier winners, while Elanorm led the Platinum tier and Tatay Elon topped the Gold category. Points were earned not only through in-game wins, but also via fan participation, live challenges, and weekly community-driven tasks.
Beyond tournaments, Buenas PH has extended its advocacy through Buenas Cares, its social responsibility arm, with content creator Boss Toyo as ambassador. The initiative supports community outreach and rehabilitation programs, including addiction recovery.
Recent findings from sociocultural research group The Fourth Wall reinforce why these efforts matter. Surveys show many Filipino players remain unaware of the risks tied to unregulated platforms, yet overwhelmingly prefer regulation over outright bans, valuing legitimacy and safety above all.
