What happens when the President of the United States and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom are stranded, hunted, and forced to team up? A global crisis, yes—but also one hell of a ride.

Streaming exclusively on Prime Video starting July 2, Heads of State brings together action, comedy, and political mayhem in one high-octane package. The film stars John Cena as Will Derringer, a former action star-turned-U.S. President, and Idris Elba as Sam Clarke, a career politician leading the U.K. The two are worlds apart—until Air Force One is shot out of the sky and they’re forced to survive, outsmart enemies, and unravel a global conspiracy with only MI6 agent Noel Bisset (played by Priyanka Chopra Jonas) on their side.

From a tomato-stained festivals to heart-racing car chases, Heads of State hops across countries with chaos, charm, and chemistry in tow. The film is directed by Ilya Naishuller (Nobody) and written by Josh Appelbaum, André Nemec, and Harrison Query, who also penned the story. It features an ensemble cast including Carla Gugino, Jack Quaid, Stephen Root, Sarah Niles, Richard Coyle, and Paddy Considine.

But what truly elevates Heads of State is the dynamic between Cena and Elba—two very different forces who somehow click. “The number one reason I wanted to do this film was I really like working with John Cena,” Elba shared. “He perfectly layered that sort of fish-out-of-water who can look quite presidential and be a bad arse at the same time.”

Cena echoed the sentiment: “I think we have a different dynamic, but we complement each other very well… He is not only a great actor, he’s also a great human being.”

Produced by Peter Safran, John Rickard, and executive produced by both lead stars along with Marcus Viscidi, Josh Appelbaum, André Nemec, and Naishuller, the film delivers globe-spanning spectacle grounded in genuine comedic chemistry.

Heads of State joins an expanding library of must-watch content on Prime Video, including Saving Grace, Five Breakups and a Romance, LOL: Last One Laughing Philippines, Linlang, Marry My Husband, Fallout, The Boys, Fleabag, and more. Prime Video is available in the Philippines for just P149 per month, with access to thousands of titles and offline viewing via the app.

Whether you're in it for the explosions, the buddy comedy, or just some good old-fashioned political chaos, Heads of State delivers the adrenaline—and a few unexpected laughs.
