International Master Eric Labog Jr. and Fide Master Ellan Asuela represented the Philippines in the KCFAP Absolute Chess 2022, played from December 23 to 25, at the Peace Centre in Singapore.
Asuela, a pride of Bacolod City, won first place and received 2,000 Singapore dollars, while Labog, a student from Immaculada Concepcion College in Caloocan, came in second place and received 1,400 Singapore dollars.
International Master Irwanto Sadikin of Indonesia, FM Nelson "Elo" Mariano III of the Philippines, Fernanda Agus Saputra Pribadi of Indonesia, Fide Master Syarif Mahmud of Indonesia, Aris TLS of Indonesia, Rege Vijay of Singapore, Adharsh V of India, and Kiu Sen of Indonesia complete the top 10.
