Malick Diouf named UAAP Season 85 MVP

University of the Philippines' Malick Diouf was officially crowned UAAP Season 85 Most Valuable Player (MVP).

The 6-foot-11 big man from Senegal averaged 10.79 points, 10.86 rebounds, 2.86 assists, 1.57 blocks, and 1.5 steals during the elimination round.

Diouf garnered 73.9 statistical points (SPs), leading the race en route to the highest individual award.

"I just want to say thank you for this blessing. Thank you to my teammates but job is not yet done," said Diouf.

Completing the Mythical Five are Diouf, teammate Carl Tamayo, Ateneo's Forthsky Padrigao and Dave Ildefonso, and University of the East's Luis Villegas.

La Salle's Kevin Quiambao was chosen as the Rookie of the Year.
