University of the East's Luis Villegas had an impressive one-and-done season in UAAP Season 85.
The 6-foot-8 Filipino-American forward ended up averaging 13.14 points, 8.07 rebounds, 3.79 assists, and 1.93 steals in 14 games played for the Red Warriors.
Which is why it is no surprise that numerous teams in PBA, as well as overseas ballclubs in Taiwan and Indonesia, have been inquiring Villegas' services during the season.
"I've been hearing a lot of PBA teams asking about me, even some Taiwanese and Indonesian teams," he said after UE defeated La Salle, 80-72, to end their season on a high note.
As much as Villegas plans to turn pro eventually, he wants first to spend time with his family in the US before making a huge decision.
"I know there are options right now, but realistically, I wanna go home and spend time with my family and then I'll make my decision there," he said.
UE finished Season 85 with a record of 5-9, falling short of a Final Four berth, but Villegas said that he is proud that the Red Warriors solidified themselves as one of the tough teams in the league.
