PNP seizes P251M worth of shabu, arrests two in Cavite buy-bust

Police seized more than P251 million worth of shabu following the arrest of two people in a buy-bust in Imus City in Cavite on Saturday night, November 15.

Nabbed were Datu Ali Dayo Sampulna, 38  and Almira Karao Sampulna, 30, both residents of Cotabato City.
 
They were arrested at around 7:20 p.m. Saturday in a buy-bust operation at Block 1, Lot 66, Happy Homes, Brgy. Buhay na Tubig, according to Brig. Gen. Narciso Domingo, director of the Drug Enforcement Group of the Philippine National Police (PNP).
  
Seized from them were around 37 kilos of suspected shabu worth P251.6 million, a styrofoam box colored white used as a drug container, a one-piece tickler colored yellow-green notebook, assorted cellphones, and a pink pouch containing assorted identification cards and assorted remittance receipts. 
 
Domingo said the operation stemmed from confirmed intelligence reports about the illegal drug operations of the suspects.
 
He said they will be charged with violations of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2022, while the confiscated pieces of evidence are brought to PDEG Special Operations Unit (SOU)-4B for documentation and proper disposition.
