The Department of Transportation offers Libreng Sakay 24/7 at the EDSA Bus Carousel this Christmas.

The all-day free ride will start from December 15 to 31.

Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista assured they can still fund the Libreng Sakay under the remaining budget for the Service Contracting program.

According to DOTR Undersecretary Steven Pastor, they are also studying the request of the Metro Manila Development Authority or MMDA to extend the free ride on the EDSA Carousel until 12:00 am, even before December 15.

This is due to the expected increase in passengers until midnight following the adjusted mall hours from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm.

The agency has clarified that this is the last time there will be a free ride unless Congress appropriates funds.
