Marcos distributes cash aid and relief goods in Antique

President Bongbong Marcos personally visited Antique province and led the distribution of financial assistance to victims of severe tropical storm “Paeng.”

At a situation briefing in the province, Marcos said he noticed that infrastructure was the biggest problem, noting that it has to be fixed to ensure unhampered delivery of goods and services to residents.

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr., wants immediate rehabilitation of the infrastructures damaged due to Severe Tropical Storm Paeng in Antique.

Aside from his order to repair damaged bridges, Marcos mentioned the importance of preemptive evacuation in disasters to avoid casualties.

Meanwhile, DSWD regional officers said over a thousand recipients from different municipalities in the province each received P5,000 cash and relief boxes containing food items and hygiene kits.

Around 100 beneficiaries received livelihood grants from the Social Welfare Department’s Sustainable Assistance Program.

Approximately 43,000 families from 500 barangays were affected in Antique when” “Paeng” brought torrential rains that caused severe flooding in the province, according to Malacañang.

Marcos also conducted an aerial inspection of Antique and nearby towns to view the storm’s damage.
