The Capitol has significantly relaxed the province of Cebu's travel restrictions.

Governor Gwendolyn Garcia issued an executive order to eliminate the RT-PCR test result and antigen test criteria for travelers entering the country who received the complete COVID-19 vaccination.

The unvaccinated must undergo a quick antigen test no later than 24 hours before their scheduled travel.

"Those who are unable to comply with this requirement will be tested at no cost when they arrive at Mactan-Cebu International Airport."

The EO No. 43 stated, "under no circumstances shall a quick antigen test result be a necessity before boarding for passengers heading for Cebu."

Vaccinated and unvaccinated passengers merely need to provide their tickets and passports or other forms of identification during check-in.

Additional criteria from the electronic arrival cards will be shown upon arrival in Cebu.

A face mask is not required at the Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA).

Garcia's directive is now in force.
