Even after the national government declared that face masks are no longer required, the Department of Education in Bohol persisted in urging parents, children, and instructors to continue wearing them on school campuses.

According to Dagatan, the purpose of wearing a face mask is to stop the spread of COVID-19 and other infections.

DepEd Bohol superintendent Dagatan urged people without vaccinations to keep donning the safety masks to protect themselves.

On October 28, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. signed an executive order lifting the requirement for face masks indoors.

The order was placed before the start of full face-to-face lessons this week.

For the first time since the epidemic broke out in early 2020, all public schools returned to the customary five days of face-to-face instruction a week on Wednesday.

Private schools are still permitted to use blended or distant learning.
