President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. joined the Filipinos commemorating All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day.

Marcos said these important occasions would remind Filipinos to move on with life.

"As a Christian nation, these two important holidays which celebrate the lives of heroes of the Christian faith and the memories left by our dearly departed both remind us to strive and live Christ-centered lives," the president said.

He said the COVID-19 pandemic also made Filipinos realize the uncertainty of everyone's time on Earth.

"It made us contemplate what it truly means to live a meaningful life and to die free of regrets and at peace with oneself."

Marcos hopes for a gradual recovery from the country's trials.

"I pray that our efforts to remember the saints and our late loved ones will bring healing to our hearts. May it likewise reinforce the foundations of our faith and compel us to live with genuine love and compassion," the president said.
