Two Philippine para powerlifting team members won four medals each in the tough Cairo 2022 WPPO African Championship in Cairo, Egypt, last October 27–30.

Jinky Guion won two medals in the Legend Category (up to 45kg).

Agustin Kitan, on the other hand, won two bronze medals in the Legend Category (up to 54kg).

The Philippine Sports Commission is very happy and proud of the achievement of the two para-athletes led by their coaches, Rico Canlas and Romeo Gunayon Tayawa.

The event showcased 166 athletes (104 male and 62 female lifters) from 27 countries across the four days of competition.
