On October 27 at Maragusan, Davao de Oro, three more communist New People's Army (NPA) militants turned themselves into the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG).

In its report, the surrenderers were recognized by their identities, Eric, Jobert, and James, by CIDG-Davao de Oro.

Members of the disbanded Weakened Guerilla Front (WGF) 55 who later joined the WGF 2 Southern Mindanao Regional Committee were the rebels who have returned.

The surrender occurred following the disclosure of the three communist terrorist group (CTG) members who had previously turned themselves in with multiple arrest warrants to CIDG Davao de Oro on October 24.

The former NPA members also surrendered several weapons and explosives, including a 5.56 Elisco M161A rifle, a.45 Colt MK IV 1911 pistol, a.357 revolver, multiple magazines, a variety of ammo, a fragmentation grenade, a bandolier, and a holster.

Lieutenant Colonel Jovit Culaway, the interim regional chief of CIDG 11, praised the Davao de Oro CIDG for its outstanding performance.

Additionally, he exhorted the surviving NPA members to give in and rejoin the government because their idealistic behavior was against the law.

Before enrolling in the government's Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program, the three former NPA are now held by CIDG Davao de Oro.
