CDO cops return lost wallet containing P1.2M

Two police officers from Cagayan de Oro City drew praise after they returned a lost wallet containing US dollars, estimated to be P1.2 million pesos, on October 22, 2022.

According to reports, Police Staff Sergeant Nathaniel Justiniani and Patrolman Neil Jun Navarro, both members of police station 3 of the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office, were conducting a foot patrol outside Limketkai Luxe Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City when they saw a wallet.

The two immediately checked the wallet containing some dollars, a passport, and IDs.

The police officer immediately looked for the owner of the wallet, who turned out to be Mrs. Evie Himparo Cougalin.

Cougalin is very grateful and happy about the deep honesty shown by the two police officers.

Due to their remarkable honesty, the two police officers are set to be honored by their mother unit.
