Jerwin Ancajas, a former world super flyweight champion, revealed on October 18 that he will fight again in the Philippines in February 2023.

Ancajas, 33-3-2 with 22 knockouts, is coming off consecutive losses by unanimous decision to Fernando Martinez, the IBF world super flyweight champion.

The 30-year-old Ancajas defended his world championship nine times before Martinez defeated it in a unanimous vote in February last year.

Ancajas' next fight would be his first in his homeland since he defeated McJoe Arroyo in 2016 to win the IBF world super flyweight title, but his camp has yet to reveal a specific date, opponent, or location.

Ancajas, a resident of Panabo City, Davao del Norte, also declared that his next fight would be in the 118-pound weight class.
