Golden State Warriors guard Jordan Poole said he wants to move on from the Draymond Green incident and focus on their title-retention campaign instead.

Poole addressed the issue in public for the first time after the video of Green punching him during Warriors practice leaked on the internet.

The fourth-year player has acknowledged Green's apology after they met for the first time since the incident.

"He apologized, and we plan on handling ourselves that way, we're going to play basketball," Poole said on Sunday.

"Everybody in the locker room and on our team knows what it takes to win a championship and we're going to do that on the court. That's really all I have to say on the matter, we're here to win a championship and keep hanging banners."

After a breakout season, Poole recently signed a $140 million, four-year extension with the Warriors.

The defending champion is also set for a ring ceremony in the season opener, and Poole is focused on winning with the team.

"We're here to play basketball, and our teammates and the coaching staff and the organization, everybody, knows what it takes to win," he said.
