Record label Careless Music’s founder James Reid has just released his new song ‘u & i’ starring Victoria’s Secret model Kelsey Merritt.

This is after he addressed the real deal behind his viral photos being all sweet and touchy with the Filipino-American star.

It turns out, all of it was fabricated paparazzi pictures and videos used as a marketing campaign.

“lovescene: u & i,” James wrote on Instagram, sharing the news. “Out now on all streaming platforms.”

“u & i touches on James’ life in the limelight– often finding it hard to veer away from the public eye, James reflects on the difficulties he encounters in his attempts to be intimate in his relationships and his longing for privacy,” Careless Music wrote in a press release.

With the drop, Careless Music also organized a Launch Party with the help of Maya, at the Careless Complex in Poblacion. Among those who graced the event were notable local publications, as well as artists from the U.S. such as Destiny Rogers, Headband Andy, and The Stereotypes.

One of James’ recent projects was his collaboration with Jay B of the K-pop group GOT7 and Taiwanese-American rapper ØZI for “Hello 2.0: Legends Only.”

The collaboration between the three singers comes just a week after Reid's family sent him to Los Angeles to meet his family and hold recording sessions. Reid arrived in Los Angeles on Feb. 17 of this year.
