The University of Santo Tomas has lost two key players entering UAAP Season 85.

Due to their age, Sherwin Concepcion and Bryan Santos will not be eligible for the UAAP Season 85 Men’s Basketball Tournament.

Head coach Bal David confirmed the development.

Both players are already 25 years old, with Concepcion being born on January 23, 1997, while Santos turned 25 last May 26.

Santos and Concepcion were supposed to be the veterans for the young Growling Tigers.

The 6-foot-5 Santos averaged 8.9 points and 7.7 rebounds in the PBA D-League and posted 10.4 points and 4.3 rebounds in the Filoil Ecooil Preseason Cup.

On the other hand, the sweet-shooting Concepcion averaged 10.64 points and 5.5 rebounds last season, and he led UST to a UAAP 3X3 crown while being named the MVP.

UST has lost Dave Ando to Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3×3 and Kean Baclaan to National University.

US-recruits Gani Stevens and Willie Wilson also left UST for the University of the East.
