A Saudia Airlines plane veered off the pavement at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, the Manila International Airport Authority reported.

The Manila International Airport Authority Fire and Rescue Division had responded to an emergency call of a Saudia Airlines after Flight SV862’s six right landing gears veered off the pavement at the end portion of Taxiway Charlie onto the grassy part while en route to its parking bay in NAIA Terminal 1, causing the wheels to get stuck in the process.

"The flight carried 420 passengers and crew, all safe and unhurt. They were shuttled from the site to Terminal 1, where passengers were waiting for their baggage," MIAA said in a statement.

It added that no flights in the four NAIA Terminals were affected due to the incident, and flights continued as scheduled. In addition, other portions of Taxiway Charlie remain in use by different flights.

MIAA General Manager Eddie Monreal and CAAP Director General Capt. Jim Sydiongco went on-site to supervise the recovery operations.

The aircraft was immediately recovered and towed.
