Some 25,000 individuals are expected to join the inauguration and oathtaking of vice president-elect Sara Duterte at around 4 p.m. on June 19 at the San Pedro Square, Davao City.

The Davao City Police Office part of the numbers is supporters of Duterte from different parts of the Davao region.

Given the significant number of people attending the event, DCPO has tightened the security for the event.

On June 16, the DCPO closed some of the streets near San Pedro Square for the event.

Some 3,700 security personnel are also deployed to provide security for the event.

Two high-profile guests at the event are President Rodrigo Duterte and former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
