Some Davao roads close for VP Sara's inauguration

Several streets in the downtown area near the city hall and the neighboring areas in Davao City will be closed to vehicles on June 19 for the inauguration of Vice President-elect Sara Z. Duterte-Carpio, the 15th Vice President of the Republic of the Philippines.

Based on the advisory, the inauguration of Duterte will be on June 19, Sunday will be held at San Pedro Square (intersection of San Pedro and Bolton Street), Davao City. 

The event will start with a Thanksgiving Mass in the San Pedro Cathedral at 3 p.m., open to the general public. The mass will be streamed to all LED walls spread throughout San Pedro St., reaching the corner CM Recto and Anda St., Bolton st., up to the corner Magallanes and Rizal St., so the public can participate in the mass. 

After the mass, Vice President, Duterte-Carpio will then proceed to the venue of Oath-Taking, and the inaugural ceremony will begin at 4:30 p.m. 

After the inaugural ceremony, there will be Musikahan Pasasalamat of some TV personalities like Andrew E. and some artists.

Motorists are advised to take alternate routes as heavy traffic is expected during the event.
