Vice President Leni Robredo arrived back in Manila after attending the graduation of her youngest daughter, Jillian Robredo, at the University of New York.

Around 10:30 p.m, Robredo and her daughters arrived at Ninoy Aquino Terminal 1 on Saturday, May 28, where airport officials offered hospitality assistance. However, the outgoing vice president declined the offer and went through the normal arrival process with other passengers.

Jillian Robredo graduated from New York University with a double major in economics and mathematics. Last May 14, the family traveled to the United States for the event.

Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan said he would meet with Robredo to discuss his work with the non-governmental organization (NGO) Angat Buhay.

Robredo stated that the Angat Buhay organization would be launched on July 1, her first full day as a private citizen.

Given Robredo's office's limited financing, Angat Buhay has cooperated with private firms and other non-governmental organizations to support its operations.

Meanwhile, Robredo's term will end on June 30. Vice President-elect Duterte-Carpio has stated that she will want a meeting with her predecessor to ensure a seamless transition.
