A “wonderful Christmas gift”— this is how President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. described his Youtube Gold Play Button after receiving the plaque.
In a video Marcos posted on his social media account, he said he waited for the Youtube plaque for “so long.”
He also expressed gratitude to his supporters for their continued support and urged them to keep “posting, commenting, and subscribing” to his social media.
“Magpapasalamat ako sa lahat ng nagsusubaybay sa atin at pagpatuloy natin ang pagpost at ang pagcomment at magsubscribe dito sa ating social media,” the Chief Executive said while holding his YouTube Golden Play Button.
[“I would like to thank everyone who follows us, and let's continue posting and commenting, and subscribing on our social media,”]
Currently, Marcos’ YouTube channel has 2.72 million subscribers.
The YouTube Creator Awards, often called YouTube Play Buttons or YouTube Plaques, are a set of awards designed to honor the most popular channels on the video-sharing website.
Gold play buttons, which Marcos received, are awarded to users with 1 million subscribers.
The Chief Executive said he sees his vlog as an “effective tool” to know the people’s sentiments and what issues they would like the government would like to prioritize.
For this reason, he kept posting vlog entries after taking office last June 30.
Despite this, Marcos’ interest in vlogging got slammed by netizens recently in response to his posting a vlog while a typhoon was battering the country.
