Jin of the South Korean boy band BTS achieved a milestone with his first official solo song!

On October 28. 1 p.m. KST, Jin debuted "The Astronaut," a song he co-wrote with Coldplay, which had been highly anticipated.

Jin is the third solo artist in Hanteo history to sell more than 700,000 copies of an album on the first day of release thanks to "The Astronaut," which sold an astonishing total of 700,954 copies on October 28 alone, according to Hanteo Chart.

"The Astronaut" also became the third-highest first-day sales of any album by a soloist in Hanteo history, following Lim Young Woong's "IM HERO" and EXO's Baekhyun's "Bambi."

Along with its excellent physical sales, "The Astronaut" debuted on Friday at the top of the iTunes charts in several nations worldwide.
