She’s a “Kabogera,” indeed! 

Filipino actress, singer, and Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7 winner Maymay Entrata is among the nominees for the 2022 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA), making her the lone Filipino act on the list.

Entrata joins the Asian nominees under the Best Asia Act category, including NIKI, TOMORROW x TOGETHER, SILVY, and THE RAMPAGE from EXILE TRIBE. 

Of course, the “Amakabogera” singer quickly took to Instagram to express gratitude to the award-giving body for recognizing her hit song, saying, “A huge thank you po to @mtvema for recognizing my song and giving me the privilege to be with the other amazing artists, nominated in this category!”

The singer and actress also thanked her fans, “Kabogeras,” for helping her reach such a milestone. “At sa mahal kong kabogeras, di tayo aabot dito kundi dahil po sainyo, maraming salamat po, (And to my dear kabogeras, without you, we would not have reached this; Thank you very much.)”

Apart from Entrata, other Filipino acts received recognition from MTV EMA, with Sarah Geronimo winning the award in 2014 out of three nominations. Other nominees include James Reid, Nadine Lustre, Moira dela Torre, SB19, and Ben&Ben. 

The voting started on October 12, but fans can still vote for Entrata until November 9. The awards night will take place in Germany on November 13, set to premiere on MTV’s channels.
